Your quiz answers stay on your device and are never sent to us. We count anonymous results in aggregate, and we show ads through Google, which uses cookies. No accounts, no names, nothing to log into. The long version is below.
This policy explains how brainbuffering ("we", "us", the site at brainbuffering.com) handles information when you use the quizzes. By using the site, you agree to what's described here. If you don't agree, the fix is simple: close the tab.
We do not require an account, a login, or an email to take any quiz, and we do not ask for your name, address, or any personal details.
Your answers. Every question you tap is processed in your browser and stays on your device. Your individual answers are never transmitted to or stored by us.
Anonymous result counts. When you finish a quiz, we record a single anonymous data point: which quiz it was, which result you got, roughly which country the visit came from, and the date. This is aggregate analytics only. There is no row with your name on it, because there is no row with anyone's name on it. We use it to see which quizzes people enjoy, in bulk.
Standard server and usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and any analytics tools may automatically receive basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and general location derived from your IP address. This is used to keep the site running and understand overall traffic.
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which is how the site stays free. To do this, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies.
For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's Privacy & Terms. If you are in a region that requires consent for cookies (such as the EEA or UK), you will be asked for consent where required before personalized ads are shown.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics or a similar service) to understand how many people visit, which quizzes are popular, and where traffic comes from. These tools report data in aggregate and are not used to identify you personally.
You can browse in a private or incognito window, block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and use the opt-out links above to turn off personalized ads. Blocking cookies won't stop you from taking any quiz, since the quizzes run entirely in your browser.
brainbuffering is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll address it.
Beyond Google's advertising and analytics services described above, the site links out to a donation page (Buy Me a Coffee) and may link to other sites. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected here. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
