Power Trip

How long until you're indicted?

22 questions ~2 min

A quiz about what you'd actually do once the office is yours and nobody can tell you no. You get a budget, a security detail, a family with resumes, and a stack of small temptations dressed up as reasonable decisions. Every yes is a favor cashed, a rule gently bent, a cousin quietly hired. At the end you get a Corruption Index out of 100 and the tier that names exactly which kind of leader you'd be. Nobody is watching. That is the entire point.

Answer as yourself, in the chair. Not who you'd claim to be at a press conference, the version that shows up when the decision is quiet and the paperwork is technically legal.

Your answers never leave your browser. Only the result gets counted, so I can laugh at you weirdos in aggregate, never individually. Also this is a toy, please do not run for office off it.

How corrupt would you be with power?

Power Trip hands you the marble halls, the motorcade, and zero oversight, then asks the only question that matters: how long until you're indicted? Your Corruption Index measures what you'd actually do once the guardrails are gone and nobody can tell you no. Everyone assumes they'd stay clean. The scenarios in this quiz suggest otherwise.

Some people come out The Suspiciously Pure, so clean it loops back around to suspicious. Most land somewhere in The It's Complicated zone, a few compromises deep and rationalizing beautifully. And a rare breed reach The Final Boss, the kind of operator they'll eventually name a scandal after. So how corrupt would you be with power, really? A short run of temptations stands between you and your Corruption Index. No one is watching, there are no consequences, and that is precisely the point. Answer like the version of you that thinks they got away with it.

The Ledger

Six domains of the job, scored on their own. Higher means you reached for the self-serving option more often. This is where the number comes from.

Every Tier

The full ladder, throne to farmhouse. Your standing is highlighted.

Power Trip is satire, not a background check. A high score means you have good instincts about power, which is a fine thing to know and a worse thing to act on. Every term ends. Try to leave the airport named after someone else.

About the Power Trip

Power Trip measures how corrupt you would get if you were suddenly handed real power. It scores money, nepotism, ethics, image, and how you would handle influence, then tells you what kind of leader you would become.

Everyone assumes they would stay good. Give people a little power and the results vary wildly. This finds out whether you would be the final boss or suspiciously pure.

What it measures

Your result is scored across six categories:

How your score works

Each answer moves your score across six categories, from how fast the rules would bend to how far you would push your reach. They combine into one result and a leader type, from suspiciously pure to final boss. It is a hypothetical, not a measure of your actual morality.

Who this is for

This is for everyone who assumes they would stay good with real power and wants to test that assumption. Take it if you have ever thought if I ran things around here.
